The Foreigner Production SR Media Jackie Chan escapes for a moment to Direct To Video and the debilitating films to play The Foreigner, the hero of the new action film of Martin Campbell who finds the former James Bond Pierce Brosnan whom he had directed in Goldeneye. This confrontation at the summit will take place from 8 November 2017 in French cinemas.
The Foreigner follows the story of Quan, the owner of a restaurant in London that will lose his daughter in a political terrorist attack. Although determined to avenge his death, he is ready to do anything to find those responsible for the attack. Seeking in vain to get answers from Liam Hennesy, a high-ranking member of the Irish government with a troubled past, will see his darkest side reappear.
The Foreigner is the adaptation of the novel The Chinaman written by the English author Stephen Leather published in England in 1992 but still unpublished in France. This fourth novel finally enabled him to make himself known and to be able to live from this trade.
A series entitled The Vets was released in 1993. The adaptation for the film was written by David Marconi, writer of Die Hard 4: Return to Hell and Enemy of State. The Foreigner is the first feature film Martin Campbell has been producing since the release of Green Lantern in 2011.
